Hi Reader,
This week I caught myself doing something I spend a lot of time encouraging other people not to do.
As the saying goes, you teach what you most need to learn.
What was it?
I decided for you.
This week I'm one of the speakers at the Membership Momentum Summit, and I barely mentioned it to my email list because I'd already written the story in my head.
I convinced myself you'd see "membership summit" and think, "Nah, not for me."
You already get enough emails.
You'll probably skip it anyway.
So I quietly got on with my life.
Then the organisers sent through an update.
My presentation is currently one of the three most-watched sessions in the summit.
I genuinely didn't expect that.
Looking back, I realised it wasn't that I lacked confidence in my talk. I'd simply convinced myself most of you wouldn't be interested, so I barely mentioned it.
It was a really good reminder.
How often do we do this?
We tell ourselves they're too busy. They won't care. They'll probably say no anyway. So we don't ask. We don't share. We don't invite.
Then we wonder why people never get the chance to surprise us.
Turns out, I did exactly that this week.
So...here's the email I should have sent days ago.
If you've ever thought about starting a membership, or you've already got one and want to create a community where people actually want to stick around, I genuinely think this summit is worth a look.
My session is about reducing churn without creating more content, more calls or more pressure. It's the conversation I wish someone had with me years ago because I spent a long time believing the answer to keeping people engaged was always to do more.
There are also plenty of other speakers sharing what's worked, what hasn't, and the lessons they've learned along the way.
The summit is free to attend. If you decide you'd like lifetime access and the extra bonuses, there's also a paid upgrade, but that's completely up to you. I've been genuinely impressed with how much value they've packed into the free experience.
If it sounds like something you'd enjoy, click here to register.
Maybe you'll watch my session or perhaps another speaker will say exactly what you needed to hear.
Either way, I'm done deciding for you.
Much love,
Suzanne

New on the podcast...
What happens when being the reliable one becomes who you believe you have to be? Jennifer Kaufman joins me to talk about burnout dressed up as competence, the trap of being capable, knowing when it’s time for change, and learning to help without rescuing. Just because you can carry it doesn’t mean it’s yours to carry. Tune in here.

What I'm Reading...
Storm Breaker by Nisha J. Tuli, I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it so far. It has definite Hunger Games/Divergent vibes, which is probably why it's working for me, but the world and storm-based magic are interesting enough that it doesn't feel like I'm just rereading something I've read before. I'm intrigued, invested and very keen to see where it goes from here!
