Unavailable…until they need you

Hi Reader,

Recently I learned a term I'd never heard before and the moment I heard it, I thought, well that explains a LOT.

It is called zombieing.

You know when someone disappears from your life… ignores messages… falls off the face of the earth… and then casually pops back up like nothing happened?

Sometimes with a request for a favour attached.

Lovely.

I just released a new podcast episode about it, because this behaviour is not just annoying, it's revealing.

Inside the episode I discuss:

• The difference between genuine reconnection and emotional convenience.
• Why zombieing can feel so disorienting.
• The hidden question it often triggers: am I only visible when I’m useful?
• What it looks like to respond from self-respect instead of obligation.

If you've ever struggled with boundaries, emotional availability, or being the “easy” one, I think this one will land.

We're having some very honest conversations about this inside The Done Era, and you are very welcome inside the conversation.

Come share your experience, read others’ stories, or simply see how differently people handle this dynamic.

If someone immediately popped into your mind while reading this, there is a very good chance they would benefit from the episode too. Forward it along. Word of mouth is still one of the most powerful ways this work reaches the people who are ready for it.

Your energy is not a public utility.

Much love,

Suzanne
